In June 2017, at the age of 49 I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  I am a single parent to two more or less grown up children who both live most of the year in Oxford- so much of the time I live alone.  As time progressed, there was difficult news to take in, but I am told firmly that the outcome will be good ultimately.  For myself, as much as anyone else, I felt the need to have a space to vent occasionally, record my thoughts and feelings, and perhaps help others as I go through this process.  This is all entirely personal.  The start of this blog is looking back at the early stages – I’ll make it clear when I’ve caught up and am ‘live’!
